In 2019, AngInRadio was born as a space made by and for young people: the first institutional network of web radios managed by under 30.

With its 44 antennas, it became the megaphone of the initiatives of the Italian National Youth Agency, a tool to inform and listen, to promote Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects starting from the voice of the protagonists.

The network grew up to 100 web radios and proved to be a mean of social inclusion, capable of reaching even the smallest Italian municipality.

It fosters dialogue and connections among generations, listening to their desires, expectations, fears and dreams.

But how did we get to all this?

Let's take a little step back.

It was the first days of April 2019 when Ivana Calabrese conceived and wrote “YouthVox”, our winning project.

This new adventure allowed us to highlight our territory through the radio instrument, widely used  all over the world.

The goal is to produce podcasts that allow not only the dissemination of news regarding Erasmus+ and ESC projects, ANG activities and youth opportunities (for which information is still difficult to find), but also the circulation of high-profile content , focused on issues of great territorial and international importance such as the major issues concerning the environment, integration, traditions, history, innovations, technologies, culture and much more.

The web radio turns to be a youth center and an opportunity to bring youngsters together giving them new purposes and chances of growing, sharing, thriving in small, isolated communities.

Why did we decide that “YouthVox” should be the title for our project?

We have decided to call our radio YouthVox because it combines two fundamental keywords, on the one hand there is youth, who will be both the recipient and the protagonist of our messages and our radio and, on the other hand, there is word "vox" which is the latin word for voice, the main tool through which the radio works. We chose this very unique name because it highlihts our desire to unite the past (Vox is in fact a Latin term that indicates our roots to which we must always refer) with the future.

What will we talk about in our radio?

Our radio was created with the aim of giving new visibility to our territory: Grassano and its region Basilicata.

In our first editions, we were happy to host young emerging talents, local guests, experts in politics, science and research.

Today, we give a voice to anyone who wishes to share their story and experience with us, no matter where they are from.

You will often listen content from teachers, people close to the youth educational path, educators, entertainers, leaders of NGOs, sportspersons and much more.
